1937 Gibson L-5 - $6,950

This instrument is a particularly fine example of the late 1930's L-5 with very highly flamed maple sides and nicely figured maple back.  It is 100% original except for replacement pick guard.  Very Good to Excellent condition!

There was a very slight seam separation on the back of the guitar which is common from this era.  It has been professionally repaired by a highly skilled luthier.  It appears that there has been some over-spray, although this has not been verified.  If so, it appears to  have been done many years ago - most likely by the Kalamazoo factory.

It is quite apparent that this guitar has seen very little playing time as the silver-nickel frets are original and in excellent condition.  This guitar has amazing volume and a very nicely balanced tonal range.

This guitar comes with the original tweed "airline" case.
