Collings OM-42 LH, Adirondack Spruce/ Madagascar Rosewood [MSRP $8,925] - $8,077

'OM' stands for "Orchestra Model," but 80 years after this body shape was first designed it has become the most popular 14-fret model with fingerstyle guitar soloists who choose to play on steel strings.  It is also very popular among flat-pickers and players who want the comfort and playability of a smaller body instrument.

This beautiful OM-42 has been built with the finest materials available, including an Adirondack Spruce top and Madagascar Rosewood for the back and sides. Great attention to detail has been placed on every element of this guitar, from the tasteful 42 style snowflakes on the fretboard to the torch peghead inlay. The cutthrough saddle, engraved waverly tuners and gorgeous 42 style abalone top border make this one of the most breathtaking Collings Flat Tops we have ever seen. Lastly, the compact shape makes the Collings OM-42  equally easy to handle onstage or when sitting on the couch, and the relatively shallow body (barely over 4 inches deep) results in a beautifully balanced tone and an immediate response.
