Hammond Suzuki XK-3c

"I have owned a Hammond L-122, a C-V, and 2 B-3s. I completely love the Hammond sound. It is the signature sound of many forms of American music: gospel, rock, jazz and blues. The digital Hammond XK-3c completely gets it! I'm completely sold. This is it! Besides all of the usual features one would expect from a B-3 -- drawbars, percussion, scanning chourus vibrato - this instrument also accurately and authentically mimics the Leslie effect and has built-in reverb. It can be played through a static speaker system or through a Leslie tone cabinet - the controls work for either configuration. One of the coolest features of all is the tube pre-amp which allows the XK-3c to be driven into the distortion range which even further expands the tone colors available. The most versatile organ/keyboard anywhere. For all practical purposes, the XK-3c is the “Upper Manual” of a B-3. All the familiar ingredients are there: Reverse Presets, Chorus- Vibrato on the left, Percussion on the right, a 2-tube preamp, and full MIDI controller capability ... to just name a few of the features of this beast. The nameplate says “XK-3c” but play it, and you’ll think “B-3”!
