The model 22 is an incredible version of the bass that the legendary James Jamerson worked his magic with. This bass is finished in classic vintage Butterscotch. The neck is quartersawn maple and the body is a single piece of Swamp Ash. Chihoe makes all the parts himself except for the electronics/pickups. This is the Real Deal so if you have dreamt about owning a bass that Mr. Jamerson would have been proud to play, please don't procrastinate.

This custom built Sinfonietta by Bob Benedetto incorporates a uniquely beautiful, aged Myrtle Burl wood for the back and sides. Stunning and complex, the wood creates a distinct contrast to more typical tonewoods. The top is carved from select European Spruce and the neck is shaped from the finest Spanish Cedar. It has a distinct oval soundhole and is bound throughout with Myrtle Burl binding.

This guitar features a quarter-sawn maple neck and the much sought after one piece Swamp Ash body. Hardware on the 228 is the highest quality available anywhere. Hahn bridges, control plates and neck plates are all stainless steel and electropolished. Hahn knobs are heavy knurl brass, and are chromed as well. Hahn compensated brass saddles intonate perfectly and never leave saddle screws digging into your hand. Finally, every Hahn Model 228 is built entirely by Chihoe Hahn Each edge is sanded, screw is screwed and drop of paint is applied by him. He also cuts every nut and performs the setup for each guitar.
