"Some comments concerning my recent purchase - [Benedetto] Bambino Lefty Righty: I've been playing for money since 1960 w/ lots of guitars and amps. I had no direct contact with Benedetto so it was surprising how all my little requirements were met: perfect neck dimensions, fingerboard - fret height and radius. I tuned the guitar, that's all. No adjustments were made. Nothing in my previous experience has been quite this perfect. It was if I had personally directed construction. I might have missed something, the maker didn't. "Thank you very much for a brilliant service: a very rapid response and helpful advice. As a transantic customer, I was expecting the usual terse take-it-or-leave-it response to my email. What I got was a helpful phone call which turned into a long chat (I'm glad I'm not paying your phone bill!) Bob Benedetto should be congratulated for getting such an amazing sound out of such a small-bodied laminated guitar [Andy]. Acoustically, there's not much volume, but it feels light and responsive. The real revelation is the plugged-in sound. It has two very distinct voices: single-coil mode has a lovely warm and woody acoustic sound; and the humbucking mode keeps the same timbre but is fuller and richer.
